In the extra-furnace metallurgy, sulphur recovery is carried out by means of slag mixtures based on CaO injected to the bottom of the ladle or onto the steel stream during heat melt or by injecting it into liquid steel in the ladle with a stream of neutral gas. During the de-sulphurising process, there is modification of liquid steel inclusions taking place at the same time.
